What a great way to take your classroom teachings in science and history to the great outdoors! Our programs open a great opportunity to teach children about the plants, animals and wildlife that consume the outdoors.
Many children today do not have the opportunities that most of us did with playing outside and experiencing the wonders of nature or recognizing the simple noise of a cricket. Eagal Lakes is proud to have the opportunity to teach children about wildlife, and we take pride in our efforts to restore the existing habitat on our property.
- Many activities and stories run with the river and its rich history.
- Fishing, bird watching or bug catching.
- Tracking, crafts and storytelling.
- Introduction to the Mi Wuk Indian Tribe and how it was growing up on the river.
- 5 miles of trails where students will find plant, water and tree life.
- Why it is crucial for our wildlife.
- Enjoy lunch by the River after your program. This area is ideal to wrap up your day, with photos, arts and crafts or even a beach volleyball game.
- Interactive projects which will help the students understand water resources and water issues that are important to our environment.
